I do have different pings when i join different areas (same server)
sometimes in town, i have high 250 ping, then i create new instance - docks, 75 ping. Then i create new instance, entered Battlefront, went to 250 ping. I tried to return to docks, 75 pings again. Happens quite often. Various areas, randomly. I play solo. I always check server so not that i joined xyz server. Try running WinMTR traces to both types of servers so we can compare the working with the not working and see if something stands out.
You can get the instance server addresses from the bottom of the client.txt log file after connecting to the instance. | |

I think you can potentially be dumped into towns in a different region than you chose at login.
It happening in outside areas sounds bizarre. "If they actually showed gameplay with it zoomed out and then zoomed it in for the real one I think there would be actual riots in the street. I think that people would burn the building down."
