Will Standard inflation of orbs:ex ever slow down?

also is it that hard to add a fucking exalt recipe?

Of course it's not HARD. It's probably as simple as a single line in a config file somewhere. But that's not something they WANT to have in the game. They want the players to be the ones to determine what things are worth, especially for more valuable items. Is understanding THAT so hard?

thx for clearing that up i thought it was impossible to do

can you also explain the logic between a recipe and players determining the price? you do know that he price is also influenced by the drop rate? by what the item does? by master recipes?

you do understand that it is IMPOSSIBLE for them not to influence the price of something, since the price is influenced by every possible characteristic of that particular item and they are the ones that determine those characteristics

and every change they make will influence some prices, including somet changes that influenced exalts directly like master recipes, so them not wanting to interfere with how players value something is nonsensical

There is still SOME ratio for the rates at which each type of orb enters the economy and a ratio for the rate at which they are used. At some point, the price will end up reflecting those ratios.

Honestly, I’m not so sure about this. The reason being that the currency markets in this game are extremely inefficient. If there was a trading post where people can post inventories of orbs the prices would eventually stabilize this way because people could get a general snapshot of the market but there isn’t any way to analyze orb data yet (impossible to make assumptions of how many are available as opposed to seeing how many 6L bellys there are on poe trade).

Prices don’t really seem to depend on supply all that much. A perfect example is divine orbs. They are rarer than exalts but never trade above their value. At the beginning of HC leagues you can easily buy divines for 5C each or so even though they are very scarce. Sure to your point, no one is “using them” yet but even later in the league the prices don’t seem to follow this rule.

Utility and demand (real or perceived) seem to be the real crux behind orb prices. Supply doesn’t seem to be a real factor because it is way too much of an unknown.
