Like metal music?....

Anyone else excited for the new Mastodon album coming out this month?!
The 27th can't get here fast enough!

I like a lot of different kinds of music but metal has a special place in my heart. I'll never get tired of Judas Priest.

I'd like some new death metal though. I like Behemoth and recently discovered Bloodbath. Any other good bands I should check out?

Bloodbath got me into death metal, such an awesome band. If you like Bloodbath then I think you're gonna enjoy Hypocrisy since it's the same vocalist, start from the album Virus and enjoy :P. If you're more into blackened death like Behemoth then check out God Dethroned's Passiondale or Belphegor's Pestapokalypse VI and Blood Magick Necromance.

I got into Death Metal through Cryptopsy's None So Vile and Decapitated - Nihility. Two great albums that you should check out. They are technical and fast. And by no means the best.

If you want to delve into DM then you should take a sample from each lineage. Morpheus Descends are one of my favourite bands. I prefer that sound if I'm being honest. It's deep. Really fucking heavy.

I love metal.

NWOBHM, death, black, thrash, power, symphonic, progressive, djent, instrumental, groove... everything.

My favorites would be Opeth, Black Dahlia Murder, Mastodon, ISIS, Arsis, Constructs, Periphery, Pelican... too many more.

I'm anxiously awaiting new Opeth(yes, I heard about it being crazy) and Mastodon.. the newest BDM and Ingested albums are killer. So happy there's lots of metalheads here.

Nice suggestions guys. I gave a few Hypocrisy tracks a listen and am enjoying it so far. One track, Weed out the Weak, sort of reminds me of a weird mix between Lamb of God and Arch Enemy, in a good way.

Morpheus Descends was good, and I really liked the At The Gates track.
