Several characters In linked steam account deleted

Hi! I linked my steam account as I wanted to see my characters in forum and to be able to get league and PvP rewards.

It gave me a message stating the characters would be deleted but i thought as if it was going to delete an inactive account not my active steam accounts characters.

I am stuck as to what to do, I don't want to lose all my hard work :( please help.
