Premade PvP Toons With Gear Sets

It would be nice for each build, which u choose from the pvp character creation list, to come with a legit well setup arrangement of gear. If there was like 2-3 presets for each class there would be quite a bit of variety just between the premade characters. Mixing premade gear sets with your own personally owned pvp sets would allow many casual gamers to compete with the general populous. The premades, depending on how GGG sees fit to balance the quality of gear, will still have a hard time competing with the best builds with the best gear.

I think this addition to PvP would cause a huge draw into the PvP seasons, and PvP queues in general.

Without any development towards a pvp overhaul, its hard to imagine pvp will ever take off again. I have resorted to playing other games for my competitive pvp fix. I come back and look at the changes to PoE often and speak with my pvp friends/pears. I miss the good ol days of pvp streams and pvp queue/ladders being competitive.

Act 4 is out and there is constant development atm. Most of the pvpers have learned there is no room to ask for pvp updates. Quite a few PvE players angry outburst about PvP has scared GGG. Even when GGG says there is only an intern working on PvP updates and PvE is the focus, PvE players scream "You could have balanced PvE or added more PvE content with that labor!"

I can't blame GGG. They tried to explain the dev process. They tried making competitive events. Seemed like they were going the right direction but the learning curve and gear requirements were too much for the majority.

If GGG is ever to make a PvP content push again I suggest they look towards a PvP server/realm/town whatever u wanna call it. Leave the current pvp the way it is, constant chaos between legacy nerfs, viable builds becoming useless as their specific gear becomes worthless, and let those competitive players reign in the real leagues while a new pvp world for LLD and HLD opens up. The pvp leagues would be a great way to balance pvp without demolishing peoples time spent theory crafting and making viable builds. Balance nerfs wouldnt leave people feeling sour. When players can just craft easily within the pvp realm they will mostly be happy about balancing.

PoE 2.0.0 introduced some changes that really messed up the core of pvp imo. Will pvp still function? Yes ofcourse, it will still go on the way it always has (Endless crafting and gear experimentation absorbing the essence of your sanity). We have not heard anything about a season 3 for quite some time. I was hoping but not expecting GGG to address pvp but I know they are busy appeasing the mass majority of PvE players who are extremely threatened by pvp. Lets all just hope they have been doing an overhaul silently and will surprise us all ; )

I'd love seeing a system similar to the legends pvp mode in DC universe online. It's very similar to your suggestion in 1st post: basically premade characters with fixed look, stats and abilities. In DCUO those premades could only fight other premades in arena, there was no mixed pvp league when I played it. I suspect this was done to keep the fights better balanced and allow more players to compete.

GGG could also make a hall of the grandmasters like character roster, with premades based on working player builds, and allow players to progressively unlock more of these premades by competing in pvp events.
