Impossible to play in Cruel mode ( too hard )

I'm actually a level 46 ranger , i recently finish the normal mode , and now i try to do it completly in cruel mode but in Acte II for exemple , when i need to kill Kraitlyn , or other boss like that , i can't kill them , they one shot me and i lose all of my exp ... so i can't play cruel because it's too hard but i can't play in normal because it's too easy and i don't earn xp ...
What is the solution please ?

A few things...

1. You're playing in the 1 month race which is much harder than the core game. It's got a changing set of mods that are pretty deadly if you're not familiar with the mechanics. I would suggest you to re-roll in Standard league and just start over.

2. I can't see your gear but you should try and get your elemental resistances as high as possible. As the difficulty increases there is an elemental penalty. Once you move to cruel you'll need to re-gear, likewise with merciless once you get there.

Edit: Regarding the reroll suggestion in #1, you don't have to completely delete/abandon your current character. Once the 1m is over it (and it's stash) will move to standard so you won't have wasted that time. :)

But how i can improve my elemental resistances in the tree ? i don't see a lot of that ...
And i want to stay in 1 month race because i heard we can win some good item ....
But what i should change in my gear ?

You'll just want to find gear with as much resistances as possible. Ideally you'll want tri-res + life on as many pieces as you can depending on the build ofc.

If you can afford to get to any of the res nodes in the tree, take them until your gear can cover it and then respec out of it if needed with orbs of regret.

If you plan on staying in the 1m, hold on tight cause it's gonna be a bumpy ride. hehe

Did you pick up life nodes in the skilltree ? Life nodes are very important and you should try to get increased maximum life and resistances on almost any gear. Furthermore Bow builds are very weak to physical damage ( pick up the Acrobatics branch in the skilltree if possible and maybe run Arctic Armour - you can buy it from Yeena in act 2 town ).

If you want to get gear by yourself you can farm Dried Lake for a bit in act 4 in normal difficulty and kill Voll - the area boss - every time. He drops some decent loot and since it is at the end of normal even the rare gear there can be a huge upgrade.

The skilltree is a bit complex for a beginner and especially a new player's first build fails most of the time. I would suggest taking a look in the class section of the forums. There are many build guides including skilltrees and gear examples. Most of them have videos of the build in action.

As for your damage : You can buy a Death's Harp bow for as cheap as an Orb of Alchemy and its damage is good enough for up to the end of Merciless difficulty. You wont need any other bow until maps - especially if you use Tornado Shot + Lesser Multiple Projectiles.
Try to buy one with as high crit chance as possible ( ~7.5% ).
