" You can also apply effects like Life Gain on Hit with Ancestral Power. I created a totem build once that used Whirlwind to apply multiple curses and gain life. Even though it didn't do damage: it was still pretty effective. In the end I quit it though. Like other posters here have mentioned - the totems just got boring after awhile. It would be better if they were like pets that followed you around I think. I'd enjoy using them more if that was the case. On a side note: for those of you interested in using Soul Mantle.
