Baal just gored the guy without thinking it too much. Most videogame villains are fairly tame and melodramatic, that was the real deal.
I miss the unfiltered evil you could see in the first two Diablo (The Butcher can be a mechanically shitty boss in D1 but it just felt right). PD: I'm not a cinematic guy either, but a lore one, :P Add a Forsaken Masters questline

Diablo should have been called the lord of destruction, as he was the "big baddie", and destruction is the pure evil in terms of understanding, as good is creation and evil is destruction, hatred and terror are only derivatives.
