This is a Bug? - Finish Act 4 Without Collecting Organs

I appear to have finished act 4 in normal and been able to proceed to cruel.
I joined an instance in Harvest a few seconds before they killed Malachai in his chamber. I was not aware of their progress in collecting the organs as I had just joined the group. But as soon as I zoned into harvest via the WP i received the message of having killed Malachai and so I went back to town and sure enough I was allowed into cruel. I didn't think much of this at the time as a bug and totally forgot about it. Right now I was just looking at what items I needed to finish in the maps and noticed that it was still an open quest which made me think it must be a bug for sure.  TRUE FACT
