Sites that sell POE Stuff, you kidding me?!!

RMT is against the TOS for Path of Exile and will get your account permanently banned by the Support team if found out. The actions that generally feed RMT, such as botting, duping and hacking are also against the TOS and are strictly enforced.

However, these things still happen. GGG lacks the legal ability, as well as the financial ability, to go after the sites/people that supply and run these websites. The only action that have available to them is to monitor and close accounts that are actively involved in either the supply or purchase of the RMT items/orbs.

Yes, it is a problem. Yes, it is a kick in the face for users who legitimately play the game. Yes, it may have an (extremely minor) effect on drop rates and player economy. Generally speaking though, GGG does a pretty good job of minimising the impact of these player actions on the wider community. It's not an easy battle (and very much a balancing act), but you've been here long enough to see the bans and the QQ and player-policing.

GGG isn't ignoring it, they just have a shitty position of only being able to work within a narrow margin of action.

It's their Game and i think they have Rights to Sue people who sell their work for Real-Money.
If they Sue them maybe others will get scared to sell ever again....

So how's that law degree specialising in international and internet law you clearly own working out for you?

We just managed to lift the guy's spirits and you put him down again. Bad Charan, bad!

Glad to be of service :) Remember, what is easy is not appreciated and what is worthwile is not easy.

And, by the way, on Thursday they will increase super rare and rare unique drop rate four times. This does not guarantee finding one by any means, but it does guarantee they will become more affordable.

*goes back to actually playing. MAYBE EVEN MAPS.*

edit: response to your edit: I didn't say players who don't rush content are indecent. What I meant is, a decent player could rush content and many do. I believe anyone should play the game as they like and that's one if it charms - it provides a pretty big sandbox. My post was a bit misleading and could be interpreted in that light, for which I apologise.

The problem is entirely imaginary and it's in your head.

No my friend, the problem is, i farm like 2-3 year and dont find any item which is worth more than 1 exalt, i have been upto now unrewarded by the games dropsystem, now i see people buy their exalts from RMT sites.
It makes me angry, not just because of the RMT aswell because of the unrewardly dropsystem and alot of other small things which upsets me from time to time in this Game.

I enjoyed it half-way untill i found out the RMT sites, now the half-way turned to no-way.

To understand my feelings you would had to love this game as much i did back when i was thinking its not p2w.

This is main reason D3 finally went self found. They tried to curb it with their own AH but third party still popped up everywhere. They had "warden" app to detect farm bots installed. They had ban waves but it was cheaper for the bot houses to just buy a thousand more accounts. PoE is small time resources by comparison and free so there really is no hope to defeat it.

I just ignore it. first of all I compete in no way - if i get a challenge its by accident. gear wise I understand game enough to recognize a good drop when i see it and to recognize a good value at poe.tade to get what I want eventually. Oh and it comes from mostly rares. I never dropped a T1 unique or many exalts either. Rares is where its at for me. This is why so many players play the new economies of ladder. you can actually sell stuff like this which would never sell in STD.

It allows them to get GG for pennies on the dollar too.
Git R Dun!

Thankfully, people paying for exalts doesn't effect my gameplay in the slightest. Though once that starts interfering with my ridiculous melee witch builds that i run, i will be first in line in the complaints dept.
As long as the games exist and people want to play them there will be RMT.
GGG can't kill it, Blizzard can't kill it, nobody can kill it.

GGG however has an absolute minimum of it and does the best job I've ever seen of keeping them from operating openly.

In so many games now there is hardly ten minutes that can go by without bots inundating the chat system with obnoxious advertisements for their shady gold selling, account buying, power leveling services. If
you see one every four days in Path of Exile's global chat you are unlucky.
"If they actually showed gameplay with it zoomed out and then zoomed it in for the real one I think there would be actual riots in the street. I think that people would burn the building down."

Ridiculous? Mjolner or CoC melee witch, my oh my...

Shit happens, and there is nothing GGG can do in this case, ban accounts? yes but they have to identify those guys first.

One possible solution to lower RTM it's if GGG crate a users complaint network, this players should identify and report suspicious Activity... i don't know...

The thing is, how do you even recognize suspicious activity? Player grinding mindlessly maps? That's most people because it's all there is. Players grinding low level maps? Maps issues with high levels ones, same issue. Unless the guy is like spamming world chat with caps and says he is RMT-ing, I don't see that happening
