Freeze upon entering login screen

Not sure why, I have never had any issues before. Brand new computer with pretty decent specs, never lagged out in game, but now(after about 3 months in storage) it will not even let me login, it just freezes.

I was having some particle errors which the pack thing resolved those but now this...my shitty laptop runs the game pretty well with no issues so I really don't understand. Do I need to re-install...I got all the dust away from all the components so I don't think it is that...wtf.

Any help is appreciated. I can post a dxdiag but I don't think it is necessary since the aforementioned.

Hope its not a hardware issue...I did accidentally unglue the heat sink/fan from my cpu lol. Does it need to be re-glued with that special compound shit again?
