Is it better to go strait EV with Acrobatics or EV/A for a TA Ranger these days?

Would EV/ES be viable?

How do you balance damage vs life in the tree? Play style and how well you can manually dodge?

Hard to tell, depend on build. I always tro to get as much life as I can get while moving around dps nodes in passive tree.

what is TA? Forgive me if its obvious and my brain is just not working this evening.

I guess it's a typo for TS.

I'd say Acro is efficient for Bow, 2H and DW (non-block) builds. I would go EV/AR or EV/ES on a shield character only, or a block focused DW.
