Need a word

What is the word for yearning or nostalgiac for something that isn't done or gone yet. I was trying to describe to a friend why I slow down my reading schedule as I near the end of a book. It's kind of like anticipating the feeling of longing. I have a feeling it's not an English word, but I remember hearing it somewhere.

Edit: It appears my 'd' key isn't working sometimes.

I don't really understand what exactly you are looking for here, but here are some word that, ( i think)might be related to it. =)

- antique, pristine, archaic, obsolete.

Hope it helps. Good luck. =)
Go!...Bwaaagh!
Are you talking about that feeling where some people eat their food slowly to "enjoy the taste"?

I want to say savoring, but i feel as if that wouldn't apply very well to books lol
I <3 Dokeyn
I would say savouring the experience?

The best I can come up with (in English) is "apprehension," though it is non-specific to your scenario of missing something not yet gone.

This query can also apply to a vacation nearing its end, or, more intensely, the imminent passing of a loved one.

I'd love to know what term, in any language, applies to this. =0[.]o=
=^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/
whiskers =@[.]@= boggled / =>[.]<= annoyed or angry / ='[.]'= concerned / =0[.]o= confuzzled /
=-[.]-= sad or sleepy / =*[.]*= dazzled / =^[.]~= wink / =~[.]^= naughty wink / =9[.]9= rolleyes #FourYearLie
Perhaps a "presage"?
Stay a while and SHUT THE $*&% UP!
I know exactly what you mean. heh.
