[Question] Increased elemental damage.

This is probably a dumb question to ask, but I just want to be sure. When converting elemental damage to another [Cold to Fire, Lightning to Fire, ect.], does Increased Elemental Damage apply twice to the second element or just once? It was explain that when converting damage the damage of what it's all being converted to get bonuses of all buffs within the chain. If we're talking an elemental damage to another elemental damage, the universal Increased Elemental damage would apply to both...But that'd be a massive damage increase, so it wouldn't...right?

Right, it doesn't work that way.

The game does it like this, let's say your hit damage is made of following segments:
physical
physical converted to fire
fire converted to cold

Then it runs all your damage bonuses past each different damage segment and applies them if eligible. As in, with fire damage bonus 'is it fire - yes - apply', and for elemental 'is it elemental - yes - apply', that way no bonus can be applied more than once. There's no direct double dipping in the game whatsoever but it can be indirect if different effects have a dependency, ignite or bleed are based on initial hit damage but are different damage instances so bonuses can be applied again.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Alright then, that's what I thought. What things would have dependency to allow for 'double dipping' anyway? just bleed and burning?
It's pretty much any effect that has a dependency on damage that a separate effect did, we also got poison and dunno, maybe something else too, it's easy to recognize it anyway.
