[2.2] Inquisitor->Critical Dual Flame Totem 78% / 594%, 43k dps each totem

This is my critical dual flame totem build as Inquisitor.

Main idea is simple, a lot of fire as critical hits, effect is very impressive, I can down easily every boss but I have to watch out for physical hits because this char is very vulnerable for this. Inquisitor sub class is perfect for this build I picked up skill which is ignoring resistances when critical hit is done. It is important to have from passives eldrich battery to protect your mana, because my chest have modifier 100% more spell damage when mana is below 35%. This is cheap and easy build when you dont buy empower and 6 link infernal mantle, you can buy cheap 5 link then dont put empower. Other my items you can buy for a few chaoses.

My stats
main skill:
flame totem->empower->faster projectiles->fast casting->inc critical chance-> inc critical damage
if you dont have empower you can put anything that inc your spell damage for example culling strike
I have 78% chance to critical hit and 594% critical damage,
each totem has 43k dps

I use flame golem, herald of ash and arctic armour.

for kitting I use whirling blades with faster attacks and blood magic because when you kitting your ES have to regenerate, time is important.

OLD --> [2.0] Critical Dual Flame Totem 80k max DPS

In this build you should get max critical strike chance as you can, you can take it from passives nodes and gear. Second thing is life nodes and res, I recommend you to use infernal mantle chest for maximize damage of your flame totem. Best choice for the weapon is dagger with high crit and spell. Dagger is necessary to use whirling blades for fast moving. Remember not to reserve more then 65% of your mana because you will be punished 100% spell damage from chest. In this case you need a lot of energy shield and Eldritch battery, so you can cast an expensive totem 105 mana from ES. Your life will be refilled from instant recovery flasks. Three Dragon mask is very important to maximize your damage when mobs are schocked and frozen. Frozen mobs are destroyed to pieces, this job is doing Added Lightning Damage with Three Dragon mask. Additional damage (25%) is from passive node celestial punishment when enemy is shocked frozen or ignited. Clearing speed maps 76+ is insane, I will try add more videos from that ride.

Main skill :

I got 3 projectiles, this is enough for packs.

Tooltip with atziri flask and flame golem : 39166 DPS for one totem so it will be about ~80k DPS for two totems,
Critical chance/multiplier : 47.95 % / 372 %

other skills:
Summon flame golem + minion resistance + minion life + minion speed

for fast moving:
whirling blades + faster attacks + blood magic
(blood magic is important so you can move in a around when your totems attacks enemy, you dont use energy shield so ES has time to recharge)

auras and defense :
herald of thunder + herald of ice (50% reservation of mana)

CWDT (6lvl) + molten shell + enfeeble + Elemental weakness(20lvl not for cwdt)
CWDT (6lvl) + immortal call + increased duration

Defense:
Life: 4146
Armour: 389
Evasion: 1623
physical damage reduction 4%
chance to evade attacks: 17%
chance to dodge attacks: 16%

That's not quite right...

According til Lifting Nerd Bro you won't be punished at all.
If you reserve ALL your mana your not on LOW mana...but empty.
Empty Mana is the same as full mana. So go on and reserve all your mana :)

You are confusing Blood Magic with mana reservation. With Blood Magic you're not on low nor full mana. This build isn't using Blood Magic, though.

@OP: How are you calculating the DPS? I see that you use GMP in your setup, but shotgunning was removed in 2.0 so only one projectile will do damage to a single target. I'd go with a different support, Culling Strike is good if you don't want to recolor your chest piece.

I strongly recommend you look into the changes made to shotgunning between 1.3 and 2.0 to understand why it is that this makes no sense at all.

I totally forgot about shotguning was disabled in 2.0

I will update my build as soon as I can.

There is alot of room for improvent for you. Firstly, Three Dragons is not doing much for you after the changes to shock status. You should replace it.

Added Chaos Damage gem increases your dps by alot and you are not even using the best support gem, Fire Penetration.

Switch your Rathpit for a dps shield.

Your main weapon needs increaced cast speed on it. Increaced cast speed is the biggest contributer to dps for Flame Totems.

Arctic Armor is useless as you are hardly ever stationary. If you want frozen ground use Arctic Breath in Cwdt setup.

I play self-found and have 3,8k hp and 2,4k ES. Each of my totems do 58k tooltip dps with only Flame Golem and no auras. I only have a 5-link (4-link dps as Fire Penetration is hidden dps).

Hi Rusherboy.
I see difference between using or not Three Dragons mask, I think I will stay with mask, now totem even freeze packs with added lighting damage.

I tested your idea with a lot cast speed and this is not for me I prefer more damage, but i get node with jewel slot with

and this was good idea.

I need Rathpit for more life and more ES because I use eldrich battery for paying totems from ES.

Arctic Armor is useless as you said, so I switch for herald of ice, now my totems hit every elemental and when I cast elemental weakness then mobs are so weak.
I switch ice golem for flame golem which I think is better choice.

Hi there.

Agree with Rusherboy added chaos will increase your dps alot. You can still have lighning damage to spell with your weapon for shocking mob. Cast speed also nice to have in your weapon/ammy to boost damage.

For your curse I perfer use assasin mark since your 25% fire damage convert to chaos not elemental and you not using fire penetration gem. More if you use add chaos gem.

For solo play I recomended swap your culling gem for increase critical damage.

I play with BM keystone. But for your setup do you try using clear mind jewel and not using any aura? Its up to 60% increase spell damage and you can use mind over matter for better survability.
