Ground slam dps

Hey, i was wondering how you guys are planning to spec to get more dps. i cant crit so my plan was to get as much attack speed as i can without stretching myself thin. at the moment my heavy strike deals about 3200 dps, while my groundslam does about 1500 dps.
When i get a 6link chest i plan on running: heavy strike/GS, life leech, added fire, added melee, attack speed. ignore the flame totem im just leveling it, yes the two enduring cries are there for a reason, they dont share cool downs. Current Gear

my main concern is, should i go ahead and just focus on the attack speed, or are these melee/mace nodes actually worth something?
