For the love of god... (another pants thread)

You know... I've been asking this since 2011. :D

I play POE with two dozen friends. They love it, but all of them are deeply disturbed by the lack of pants. Especially on the templar and witch. It's ok to start pants-less. But reaching 70+ with a witch/templar wearing a mini-skirt? Seriously?

I'm not some conservative weirdo. I just don't want my ARPG character to look like a cheap cabaret lady of the night. Too much to ask eh?

Everyone is baffled by the lack of pants - just check out the awkwardness in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci4Sz61RaM4

(vote for pants here http://www.strawpoll.me/5038443 )

PS: There used to be excuses for the lack of pants... GGG was a small studio, they had to focus on gameplay, they had to improve the art on more basic items first etc etc. It's been 4 years.
No more!

PS no2: Every time I try to convert people to POE, mainly people from its shallow, yet fancy competition, I get these kinds of comments - true story:

"Uh why don't you equip something in your leg slot man?"
"Didn't they have money for pants in this game?"
"I don't enjoy seeing a pants-less old man/barbarian while playing."
"Is flashing your private parts a thing in this game?"
"Is this a robe? My ex used to wear something like this, that's why we broke up"

PS no3: Proposed solution that is, probably, easy to implement.

Your starting attire, for the most of the characters at least, are some rags. For example the witches clothing and the templar's toga. Except the fact that it is unhygienic to wear the same clothes all the time when fighting the forces of evil, it is only logical that they would want to upgrade their default clothes throughout the game. Either as a quest reward or a drop, the player will choose if they want to equip a new default clothing that is less of a rag. Not sure how easy would that be to implement on character models and how it would work with other item models.

Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years.

Best of luck in the future!
Would you say the same in case of a Roman legionaire? How about a Highlander?
indeed too much to ask.
fire magic and clothes aint a good combination
Marauder has it worse.

Spoiler
Some body-armour combinations looks like he has a 'junge' in the genital area
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

Yes, that seems to be the case unfortunately.

I once played a Templar with Foxshade body armor (skin transfer ), wolf head and pink ES boots.

He looked like some weird half-naked elderly cosplaying pedophile.

Gimme Pants!!!

I always assumed that was the reason the Templar got exiled for "Heresy" wearing a much more low-cut Toga than that was the normal length in Oriathian Culture.

For the Marauder I guess its normal for men in Ngakamanui to traditionally wear loincloths.
