60 chaos now oh that's fucking great.

ROFL!

But it is standard that has the messed up economy, right?

Right guys?

Let this thread at least put the myth of a bad standard economy to rest.

Temp leagues have always had shit economies, unfortunately the majority of players remain uniformed of that fact.

Standard leagues have always had the screwed up economies you mean. Hardcore still has no problems with the insane amounths of chaos going into the system through all the botters/multiboxers etc.
Oh yes thank you global 1 ex for 40c

An economy isn't "good" or "bad" because an exalt is worth a certain amount of chaos. Not sure where that logic is even coming from.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
my problem isnt the chaos to ex ratio alone, but you also have to give so much more alts/chromes/fuses for an ex as in standard... 1.4k alts are like 2ex in warbands? and like 4ex in standard? well you could argue that all/most items are cheaper in temp leagues..
well..there are items with same prize, items that are more expensive (in pure ex compared, not throug the amount of currency you need to get that more pure ex) and on top of that items that cost a large amount more because of the rarity shift.. when was the last time you had to, lets say, give 750-1k alts for goldwyrms boots as example?=)
of course, if you got them ex drops, or div cards that are valued/labeled an ex on poe trade, you just have to wait until the ratio goes up even more...

the reason behind this is, people are dumb, plain and simple. if you are willing to pay 60 chaos for an ex its your own fault. you probbably will use the exalt for trading anyway, so why even bother. if people list their items in pure ex, just let them sit on it. and yes there are other people that are most likely willing to pay the price, but ultimately, an ex doesnt enable me to level up or play, the chaos does. so meh its probbably all a market game since people fail to realize the only reason to use ex efficently anymore is to master craft and that is something you dont really need before 93+.

Anyone trading any "good" items in anything but exalts are the ones beeing stupid. With the fluctuating value of the chaos orb, wich is botted at an extreme pace, you need to stick to something that keeps its value.

yes but where do you pull your value out of exalt? yolo exalting? the only real reason is to mastercraft, since there are no eternals anymore you cant really plan on perfect crafting. so the best way now is to chaos them and finally in the end if you really have good stats, to exalt them. that alone lowers the major use of the exalt orb. of course the best way is using it in master crafting. but thats also only a limited value for the exalt. with chaos even if you have a lot of them you can still roll your maps, do a lot of crafting, make op jewels and so on. i cant believe how much currency our guild trader makes by just alching jewels chaosing them and selling them 10 fold. thats all because people dont get that the exalt has no REAL value. like someone said before, its just faith.
The reason isnt that exalts are that good. BUT that chaos orbs are botten by the ton every day, their value is junk.

Thats why the effects of this is alot less in HC, where you cant bot as easy.
You don't even need "botters" (conspiracy theory or not) to explain this inflation.
It's just supply and demand.

1:
Chaos are produced by everyone in a lvl60+ zone. We are all "bots".
Most people should have reached chaos production level by now.
Exalts are drop only and quite rare.

2:
Most players probably have their "chaos" gear by now. Levelling uniques, nice midlevel life+resist rares, a 200dps bow, a 5L chest or whatever.
The next step in item progression will cost Exalted Orbs, and most sellers only accept pure exalts.
So everybody wants them, while nobody needs chaos anymore.

3:
Chaos are junk currency: the get wasted like crazy to roll maps.
Exalted orbs are shiny precious things.

Add 1+2+3 -> It will only get worse until the last 2 weeks before Leagues merge.
