Energy shield based block build?

Did anyone come up with a energy shield (with or without CI) that has a good block chance? Currently the block options look very uninspiring in general and spellcaster / energy shield builds look even worse.

To be more serious, if there is no ES block build its because atm CI is in a very bad spot

I'll just put a small thought here but,

CI is in a super bad spot now because they gutted all the easily stacked defenses. Why so?

CI's main advantage is its super large pool, and the ability to recharge it decently fast.
Now the ability to recharge it decently fast isn't really applicable in combat, so it only has the main advantage of being super large in its pool.

So what compliments large pools? Any defenses that causes multiplicative increases in it like %reduction.

Block was nerfed.
Dodge has never really been strong here.
Immortal Call now has a longer cooldown.
Endurance charges have no change. (Actually their generator was nerfed, but that's relatively minor)
Evasion has not been strong here either, but can work.
Haven't seen any ES/Ar builds.
MoM was buffed in placement.

On another note:
Most builds can't use fortify.

Leech was nerfed.
Regeneration is slightly stronger now.
Arctic Armour most likely is stronger here.


It becomes pretty obvious that CI has become quite naked due to the last nerf to it, which was leech. Certain builds now will not work with CI due to a lack of defenses, since they can't leech back enough ES in combat.
