Disconnect Issues

Looking for some help with this. On my PC I constantly have disconnect issues with the game. Out of curiosity I installed the OSX port on my laptop and the disconnect issues were non-existant. However the OSX port isn't really that fun to play. But it clearly has nothing to do with my internet connection. Spec-wise my PC is far superior to my macbook. What could be causing my PC to have these troubles?
