How to level a wanna-be-PA

Hello guys,

I´m interested into PA in 2.0, but struggle to take Flame Totem or Spectral Throw for leveling.
So when I level with a Scion I'm able to catch a lot of projectile nodes, which is really appealing for Spectral Throw. However, could Flame Totem outdamage ST if take Totemic Zeal and all those Projectile nodes?

PS: What about mixing them up with 1h +1/2 Fire Mace and a high phys mace. I would invest 6 Points into Ambidextery (20% inc.AS in Offhand), so I just hit with my phys mace.

So which of these 3 ways do you think is the smoothest, or do you have something different on your mind?
