Looking to make a Ball Lightning Build

Hello there, im looking to make a ball lightning build, well or a lightning strike build and was wondering which one is better with a templar. Thanks

I am not expert, but i would use something like this:

For gems i would use:
Ball lightning + Slower Projectiles + Spell Echo + Life Leech + Added Lightning Damage + Faster Casting
Cast when Damage Taken(if you want to) + Temporal Chains + Conductivity + Arc
Herald of Thunder + Tempest Shield
Lightning Warp
Spell Totem + Cold Snap + Increased Area of Effect

Build have some nice cold damage, so spell totem with cold snap can do some damage and also slows enemies down. In addition, with help of lightning warp you can move more easily. By combining slow of temporal chains and cold snap you can make enemies stay in same place longer, thus allowing your ball lightning hit them more often.

Nothing special, but if you like, then try it out.

regonix are you aware that you have only taken damage passives? you have zero life or energy shield passives what so ever and would die in 1 hit from anything. you bring a new meaning to the word glass cannon :D

the rest seem fine for a non crit build. but the passive tree isn't gonna cut it.

you can actually start as templar, witch or shadow probably scion would work well too-.

And what is wrong with a little glass cannon? :D Also, that is why i include cold snap+spell totem. I myself are not playing with lightning build, but with minions, so i wouldn't know what it means to die or be attacked :D
