Scared of turn IP Changer on

I want to play other games while beeing online in PoE to get some stuff ingame sold.
One game needs an IP Changer because to play a game online.
Is it legitmently when I ingame change my IP to another one that probably got abused? I heard about people getting banned because of the same IP adress that got used by hackers/cheaters.

Should I do? Is there a risk or not?

Using a VPN you mean? that's allowed on PoE...recommended in some cases, it's never got anyone banned.
At best any "ban" that may happen is an IP ban for some places in china that have a high number of hackers/RMT traders etc...it's not aimed at the individual but an area.
