Allow us to adjust hideout decorations along the Z-axis

There are so many decorating ideas I have in mind but cannot do because I can't adjust the Z-axis of decorations. I can't place books on shelves, exiles sitting on walls or chairs or whatever, decorations placed on tables or atop pillars etc.

Is there a particular reason why it's not allowed? There's so many possibilities if it was allowed.
