Test was done while downloading poe beta update, thats why ping was bad.

I will do another one later in the evening when it usually was worst.
Ciao!

This is obviously what is going to happen. People have been reporting this for weeks and weeks, I've been experiencing this for months now, and I am certainely not alone.

Unfortunately there has been no other words from GGG about this since this yesterday or a couple of days ago :

I'm currently investigating connectivity issues some players in Europe are experiencing.

It looks like the issues are being caused by Telia.

Which is absolutely not indicating anything concrete. Have they found the problem ? Is it fixable from their end ? Are the devs working on the issue ? Will it be ignored until act IV is out ? Is it a problem that every player have to solve with their own ISP despite the fact that they live in different countries ? Why the US server is working fine and only the EU gate is causing trouble ? Why WinMTR does not show anything while ingame the connectivity is completely messed up ?

The game is unplayable, it has been unplayable for several weeks at the very least, nothing has been done about it, with the amount of work GGG have with the coming release and other bugs, I don't see any changes coming anytime soon.

Unless they don't give a flying fraq about the European people not able to play this game properly, I really hope that this is a priority.

EDIT: People are going to keep coming and complain because nobody know what the heck is going on, not every PC owner in the world is a network specialist so people acting rude and condescending against the new posts and threads better prepare some copy/paste because this is not going to stop I'm afraid.

People don't need to know what's going on, and in general it wouldn't do a fat bit of good. People are ignorant to how the internet actually works (as evident by your post).

It's not likely anything the "devs" can do anything about. It's likely not even a GGG issue.

I've explained this before and I'll explain it again. The internet is like a city with roads and physical buildings. When you want to go to the library in your car, you go from your house, along a specific route of streets, and eventually end up at the library.

When you want to get to the store, you get in your car, follow a possibly similar but not identical route to the store, and eventually get to the store.

It's the same way for getting to places on the internet.

What would happen if your route to the store took you on a road that had construction, or heavy traffic due to a traffic jam or rush hour? It would delay your ability to get to that location, but as long as where you're going doesn't go along that route, you'd have less issues.

Do you blame the library or store when a road on the route has congestion or construction? It's not the store's fault. Thusly it also isn't necessarily GGG's fault. They're the store. They don't control the roads that get to the store.

Traffic jams and construction also affect internet traffic the same way it affects road traffic.

One of the roads through Europe is having issues. GGG is trying to find that road and call the proper parties responsible to get it fixed, even though they have no obligation to do it... in the same way the store would call the city and complain about the roadwork outside their business.

Learn how the internet works and don't place blame where it doesn't belong.

Ignorance is not really a valid excuse in this age of the internet. Take initiative and learn the basics. Also "other games" are just like how the library and store aren't in the same building. The road conditions to each can greatly differ, unless the construction is at your house.

Mmm, how do you think players are going to react when they try to launch their game every day for weeks and are not able to play it, are they going to use their spare time to take computer/network class ? Spend an hour on youtube or google to learn some computer science ? And maybe find out that they can't do anything to fix the road ? Or have to wait more weeks until the responsable authority do anything and send some workers there ? If they knew how everything works do you think they will be here asking questions ?

The amount and content of the vast majority of posts here about this subject should indicate that they don't, as you noticed.

I'm happy that you're writing some information about it, you're one of the very few people that had any proper food for thoughts and actually answered some questions, acting as you know everything and the rest of the world don't know crap is not helping the case though.

Thanks for your time man

Oh well, seems to be working all right again, atleast at my place :)
Well, knock on wood, tonight it has actually been playable. I just double checked with WinMTR and only the well-known po1.fcr01.sr01.ams01.networklayer.com is racking up packetloss like it does all hours of the day, but had zero issues with the other three nodes that has been having serious packetloss the past week or so in the evenings.

Now, is this a fluke or has something changed? I guess we'll see with time, but some feedback from GGG wouldn't hurt.
It is not gone. I could play normally without any spikes for about an hour until about 20 minutes ago then the sweet sweet 70% packet loss started again..
In Sweden using Telia.

Yesterday and today evenings had a great stable connexion for me, from France.

I don't know who did what, but I'm liking it so far ^^
https://www.youtube.com/user/PeipeMasta
At exactly 21:00 (GMT+1) sharp the latency spikes came back with a vengeance. This can't be a coincident and should be really easy to find the origins of considering the timing. I'm getting really tired and frustrated of having to quit maps/ROTs and lose currency due to this, not to speak of dying to it.

GGG, man up and pressure your EU network/server partner and demand they fix this as soon as possible. This has gone on for long enough. We have done as you have asked repeatedly and given you all the information you could possibly need from our side.

Spoiler

And to reiterate, only your service (PoE) is affected by this. Everyone reporting are confirming that all other services they use works as intended without issues including other latency sensitive games.
