Here we go again, unplayable yet again. :/
Came here to see if my problem is universal.. apparently yes. Also learned that they are asking for statistics from a program that doesn't tell crap, lol
Gosh, could we get an official update already?

Didn't you read the mods post? telia.net is the problem, it's prety much outside of GGG's ability to do anything about, the server it's self is fine.

Seeing as this is the "Technical support" part of the forum, how about you focus on some actual constructive support rather than vigorously trying to deflect issues away from GGG?

What's been said is that "It looks like the issues are being caused by Telia." which might very well be true and we'll hopefully find out within the next few days. Regardless of wether Telia or SoftLayer is the culprit, the solution lies with one or both of those companies, and when GGG has sufficient information they can escalate the problem to SoftLayer which in turn contacts Telia (I'd guesstimate that's the order of things.) and eventually we get a solution, which is what we all want. As a handful of internet users we players have a very hard time getting through to the people who can actually do something about it, while GGG is in a far better position to do so and it's also in their interest, despite them themselves not being the root of the issue.

the wired thing tho. is its always poe..

I play CS GO, LOL , WOW and of those i never had problems while i have problems with poe. its wired..

Any confirmation that telia is working on it?

Just doing a test in the morning now seems a lot better: http://i.imgur.com/RHjCL5m.jpg

Seems i get routed different now. po2.fcr01.sr01.ams01.networklayer.com is different to yesterdays po1 server.
I will do one after noon again to see whats up.
Ciao!
@GGG, Hmm, just woke up and thought I'd do a WinMTR and from the first packet the next to last node (just as before) starts to show packetloss (po1.fcr01.sr01.ams01.networklayer.com). I'm not talking about <1% either. It's up to 41% and rising.

I've done traces for a couple of days now and it's always the same. Packetloss on the node above during the days, but "playable" in a sense. However, between roughly 20:00 to late night four of the Softlayer owned nodes show major packetloss and it becomes totally unplayable during this time. Everyone reporting these issues are telling you the same.

Regarding the involvement of Telia it's quite clear that it involves one or more of their feeds, but working as a Network & Security specialist I can tell you right now that it doesn't mean that the actual problem resides at Telia at all. It still might be, but giving them the blame while more or less everyone here has zero issues using any other service available on the Net is a bit of a knee-jerk move and reeks a bit of panic.

Softlayer should have monitoring HW/SW up and running and it shouldn't be too hard to track down the origins of this issue. After all, this issue shows the same pattern every day and packetloss stands out like a sore thumb in the streams of packets.

This makes me wonder...

- Why does it take approx a week before it's being noticed and/or being investigated by GGG?

- Why aren't we getting any regular reports on this issue? Even though such a report could be telling us that "We don't know yet" it's still feedback and we can assume they are still working on it.

- Is this really a priority for GGG? Doesn't feel like it to me, but others might disagree.

- Is this related to bringing dedicated servers to the beta?

- Is GGG hoping to stall this issue until 2.0 goes live and possibly eliminates the issue?

I'm trying to keep as a positive attitude I can, but the above questions still lingers around and I can tell you that since this has started I have been playing less and less PoE. It's not by choice, it's because it feels pointless/futile as long as this issue isn't resolved and during the evenings it's totally unplayable during the aforementioned times.
