First Character! Hows my planned build?

So currently I'm a Lv38 Duelist, I'm dual wielding atm and using a combination of lighting strike and Cyclone to get through the game...I'm just about to finish the 3rd act on standard

As ive never done this before I'm mostly guessing, but this tree has a focus on Life and life leech,

Questions i have on the nodes?
-Should i have assigned points to specific weapon nodes? It feels like i'll end up with dual swords? should i fill out a swords node? or

-Should i not even have swords?

-Have i spent to many nodes on one area and neglected another? i feel like this build ha less attack speed and i have no idea if that important or will more life make up for this?

- more specifically i filled out focres of nature in the bottom right, is this a must have? seems it but again just guessing?

I took a look at your tree. I'm no expert on the mechanics of cyclone, but I will suggest that you take the Iron Reflexes keystone asap. it will help tremendously with survivability and it will open up more options for what gear you can wear.

Thanks for the help guys I've been looking at a lot of beginner topics, I decided on this last tree to leave out Blood Magic as a passive skill and go for it with the Gem....

IT's just all the other stuff in the tree that's super tricky...

youd get a lot more stuff. although I would say 113 points is a very ambitious character level and the crit chance nodes in the shadow are probably wasted. I wouldnt bother speccing the 2% mana leech either, just get 2% mana leech on gear, like a ring. you wont need the 30 str under the shadow either cause you get a lot of str in the marauder zone so you can cut it down to 102 points like this which is a lot more realistic I think

here is my dual wield duelist, non weapon specific if it is of interest, this is how I felt it was best built

you dont have to go weapon specific, my build was designed intentionally to not go weapon specific but if you specialize into swords I would think you will end up with more damage, providing the best 2 weapons you have are swords. My build was designed to be swords, claws or daggers because I wanted it to be open to using the best things you find and life on hit claws are gg in a limited gear environment. I have crazy swords and could just make a specialized build but it was intended to work as a self found setup, the silly gear I actually use on it in standard atm is just me seeing how it actually preformed if you pushed it.
