login error, this league is only available for beta players

Purchased a supporter pack and received a beta key. Logged into my account on the POE website and redeemed my key. did the required steps in steam and downloaded the beta. Launched the game , chose the America gateway and I get the error above. Went back to my account (logged in through steam each time) and tried to verify my key and now it say invalid. (probably as I had used it once already) I cannot find anything to help me get this fixed and have emailed support. Has anyone seen or dealt with this yet? Appreciate any help.

do you happen to have a separate account for the website and for steam?
my guess is yes since you have no characters on this account. you're supposed to sign into the website using the "sign in through steam" button. you'll likely need to email support to get the change made to your puppet account.
