Hi everyone !
Recently, I've decided to do my comeback in PoE. But I haven't played since a very long time so my skilltree is empty. It's time to make a new one and I would like to know what do you think about it before applying it to my character :

I would like to be able to go solo. My build would be based on the use of a sword and a shield. Attack speed, life leeches and life regeneration are crucials (but this build can be totally stupid, that's the reason why I'm here, searching for advices). Here is my gear :

Firstly, you have a 160 point build. The maximum possible is 120.
You spend a lot of points on +10 strength nodes, which are not efficient. You want to path around the tree so that you get as many large wheels of nodes as possible. I would recommend a tree more like this I cut out a lot of the fluff points that you don't need and made the tree more efficient. How to make currency in Path of Exile, a comprehensive guide:

Resist should be covered by gear. You can take some resist nodes on tree if needed but you should eventually refund them all.

When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch. Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart... |

I am in agreement with panini there, elemental resistance nodes are great while leveling, but you can get so much on gear that you'll want to spend your skill points on better things. It is also worth mentioning that increased MAXIMUM resistance nodes are some of the most potent on the skill tree. It is absolutely worth getting those if you happen to be nearby, though they are quite rare.
