Money from ads

does anyone ever tryied the donation thing button or the adfly ad, here is my idea i wanna make an awesome guild with lots of member slots and and premium stash tabs so am thinking since am not making enough money to purchase these numbers i will instead gonna use a link from which my guild members will pressing on that and go to the adfly ad thing and get in my portofolio some cash to buy guild stash or thinking to make something that will help the community and get a bit of donations and use them to upgrade my guild so wanna hear how many have use this internet tactic to earn some cash?
