having the same problem here i would like to know if there is a solution...
Same here.. "Unable to open MapViewOfFile in MapChunk.Error Code:8 ... "
I found this thread in Common Technical Problems, search for word "EOUTOFMEMORY".
I will try this next time I play and see if it works guys.

If you try it before me, post here!
I've the same problem in A 3. Never happened in A 1 and 2.

Does somneone know if it's going to be fixed in the next patch (and when)?

Now A 3 is quite unplaylable for me.

I keep getting those crashes myself. I was going to post it, but it's already a common issue:

http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/73322

I get various erros, all on load screens. Out of Memory, Bad Allocation, Map Chunk...

It's related to RAM use. I have 4GB RM and run Windows 32 bits, so I fit the scenario. You probably have same spec, right?

Before they fix it, there are two things you can do:
1. Reduce Texture Quality to Medium. I actually HAD to do that to enter Dark Forest, I crashed 6 times before finding that out. After that I tested different graphic configurations, and right now I can play in full settings but Texture Quality getting very few crashes.

2. Use -gc 2 at the shortcut's target ("...Client.exe" -gc 2). It seems to help, but I haven't tested if using this + high quality texture works.

Hope it helps.
