Deal with the bandits quest bug

I had started this quest and killed oak then i decided to help alira since my friend chose to help her then we killed the 3rd bandit and returned to alira to turn in the quest and my friend could complete it and get te reward but me it abandoned the quest and my 2 other friends it reseted theire quest so they had to restart from the begining and I couldnt.
