P.Link gone

Lame. And why is that reddit dump the place where official news happens first?

I Agree with this.
P link is not challenging, but absolutely annoying for builds that can't target specific mobs.
Ex. Arc(Very difficult to target the right mob) and minions(How the hell do you even kill P link with minions?)

I have to stop for more than one tenth of a second during my faceroll? Ohhh noo, please nerf and remove!

This does not fill me with confidence for Act 4 to bring properly challenging content.

Not sure if you were playing Bloodlines, but Phy-link has nothing to do with challenge. Challenge implies a way to play against or counter-play - phy-link has no way of dealing with it. You just wait and run around, hoping that you find that one right monster. Or just ignore it, and let it root.

Necro-vigil on the other hand has a good way(s) of dealing with it AND can cause you death if you are not careful. THIS is challenging, and this is how "challenging content" should look like. Not silly, immortal gulls running around...
Corrupting blood is killing lots of people, yet there are easy ways of dealing with it. But still, if you start stacking without looking at your flasks, you can run into trouble - that is challenging and "skill based".

Oh, it probably won't. But this is nothing new. At some point in testing, the mud flats used to have more rhoa nests -- some of them were empty, some had the necessary quest items.

Apparently this was too confusing for some players.

While I would have no problem if there were more nests there (I would even agree that PoE could use some quest complexity), I'm quite sure this game is not about quests for most players. Also, many people would complain about regarding, for example, racing.

I did play Bloodlines and I liked it because it made some of the mobs a bit stickier than they normally are. Everything in this game tends to explode before it even has a chance of touching you.

I'll admit that the mod was far from perfect but I would have liked to see some adjustments rather than flat out removal.

It was worse on some builds than others but I don't think a build should be able to handle everything in the game effortlessly. Builds should have holes, and if you try to cover everything without some adjustments in your play on the fly, you end up with a mediocre build that is a jack of all trades and master of none. That is not the current trend of PoE but I'd like it to be.

when you have things like tora missions for the red armor with 10+ bleeding drop bears having this mods... Seen almost a full party wiped out on that yesterday.

Those people played the league just for the red armor and they got rekt. hardcore too hard man....(me, I just skipped and hide like a coward lololo)

I would say it should have been re-worked for sure.

But It is hilarious to see SC players wine about it and this is gone.
It just show this game for casuals after all.

(I have to admit, this could be really really frustrating in boss room)

Luck and time :)

I imagine having a Melee Splash gem for your minions would be of great benefit.

When I post it on the forums first, there are still complaints that it was on reddit first? The reddit thread literally links to my forum post!

Honestly, this kinda highlights how hard it is to find information on the forums.

For those newer players that don't know about it, or long term players that might have missed it somehow, this is a very useful link for any official GGG information on the forum:

Sure, I agree on that. But removing it far better than leaving it be. Adjustments might have no helped it, dunno. GGG might post something about it.

I'm gonna address Necro-vigil again in terms of "able to handle everything". I agree on that to the fullest. One problem with it, is way of dealing with it is destroying corpses. One way is using specific skill (Offerings or summon Zombie) other being shattering it while they are frozen. And this is where problem lays - as a crit build with Ice damage, not only you get the benefit of constant freezes, but you also almost ignore Necro-vigil at the same time. Crit applying all the status aliments is pretty broken, tbh.
Spoiler
Good way would be removing it, and adding 3 nodes "50% chance to apply X on critical strike, and placing them near marauder, ranger and witch, respectively. I think. :P

Bloodlines like Rime Pulseblood, and others "melee-oriented" should also be worked on, I think. Ranged is good enough as it is.
So I agree with you, that game should not be steam-rolled, but at the same time I doubt there would be a good way of fixing the P.link. Maybe I'm wrong. :P
ALSO, I'd love to say that BEYOND WAS GREAT IN THAT TERM, and everyone wanted it removed from base game, which is sad. It made mob clear more dangerous, and single-target a little bit better... yeah. #BRINGBACKTHEBEYOND or rito!

I was actually using arc more when I encountered plink, simply because I always hit the mob and was a bit better aoe than lightning tendrils if the mobs get too spread out.

I agree though that it wasnt really challenging and didnt require skill in the way I would like. Necrovigil is a good one however, since it involves a strategy of sorts. (You can just destroy the corpses to counter the ability) I saw someone complaining about necrovigil so I just wanted to put this out there
i play poison arrow and it takes really long to kill a p link pack most annoying mod ever

ohh and btw is it intented that living blood can spawn in mudflats normal ?
