the huge difference loot RNG can make, when it's actually on your side

had some fun with the Main Shadow in HC. made some progress in Act 3 Cruel.
he's a Freezing Pulse build, and at this point doesn't really hit too hard - but he freezes and knocks stuff back, which is extremely useful in avoiding damage.

then suddenly, this thing drops in Solaris Temple level 2...

now, ShadowOfTheArchivist is a real beast.
such a huge difference, it really cannot be put into words. Freezing Pulse is now a tidal-wave of utter destruction.

so yeah a moment of exceptional dice for me, which makes me happy today.

I'd like to hear your stories, guys.
what was your last drop that was so good, it was a complete game-changer for your character?
no need to link it. just describe it, and how/why it made such a big difference.

That's literally worse than a 1c unique.

I'll probably put something on it, once my Masters level up a bit.

as for "vendor trash", BMBI, go ahead and put this baby on a level 50ish Freeze Pulse caster.
then tell me if it isn't a fkn insane upgrade out of the luckiest dice roll of RNG.

I get that feeling that your standards are different from mine, me and BMBI just aren't excited by a 1 chaos item.

Essentialy, a mediocre "blue" wand. Meaning rare with only two useful modifiers.
That's what I used before thing of beauty dropped.

And since the character is self-found, that's a wonderful feeling really: getting an item that immediately propells your character to the next level.

If I was solo SF I still wouldn't use it - 20 ele quartz and +1 gems with the recipe and fire trap to start the dmg.

And when it is not on your side you dont get 4 link at lvl 70

What I used in Normal. Back when 3 sockets were enough for Freezing Pulse.
Then had to make a switch.

Edit: and no fire traps. The theme is all ice with a bit of lighting to apply a lucky shock and a Frostbite curse.
