Cheap starter builds for the upcoming 1M race

I'm leaning towards doing leveling as flameblast into ele cyclone later on.


Also if nobody has said ele EK yet add it.
It's completely viable in a new league because it's almost
completely non gear dependent / gear for it is cheap.

lameblast prolif. it is still very very strong

any trap'er - fire trap + prolif or 3 ele + EE. im testing EE trap'er now and it is incredibly cheap fun and effective. not tornado-shot effective but requires no gear whatsoever and the damage is more than relevant

i'd also say my own budget Infractem ranger build (Lightning arrow) but the thief's torment that is the mandatory item for it is very rare and cannot be counted on

avoid melee. just avoid melee.

What about leveling with Lightning Tendrils? It's great on a Witch or Templar in short races, and I can imagine leveling with that and switching to Arc (or just sticking with LT) later on.

Leveling with a non-qual EK kinda sucks and EK lacks the punch of many other spells, but it's an ok late game choice (assuming you level it as you go) for the gearing reason (can be pretty tanky for cheap/self-found).

Very surprised TS and ST aren't on the list - very very strong and not too hard to build.

I'm gonna be playing the hardcore league, and I'm still really undecided. I like to start leagues out with a mf flametotem char, but this league won't be long enough for that to make sense. Plus I'm going to try for a top 50 finish, so really won't have time for a second char :(.

What I'm testing right now is a max block/56% spell block facebreakers cyclone build with HoA + prolif. Leveling it from the start of the league with no facebreakers/meginords girdle would suck though. Plus I would eventually want a BoR and aegis, hopefully by end of 2nd week. So maybe I'll make another char just for like 3 days to build some currency.

I think im going to go non crit spark, high life, high regen, acro, pierce, chance to shock on tree and hopefully ill find an agnerod

There's a nice budget guide that only requires Infarctem (and even then...)

Not sure though. Just started playing POE and I sure would love to finish my current characters...
