Giveaway - Closed

I'm guessing this weekend is going to be boring, so to spice it up I am going to giveaway 20 copies of MoonYu's book - The Mooned Chronicles.

How It Works

To enter the giveway, simply post a Path of Exile related poem in this thread, ensuring that it incorporates the following super cliched line:

'Twas a dark and stormy night

The line doesn't need to be at the start, just included anywhere you deem appropriate. The poem itself can be of any style or format, be it limerick, haiku (tough with the above line), or free verse.

Terms & Conditions

If we get more than 20 entries, final judgements will be made by me, with input from Moon if he wants to. If you are judged a winner, I will require your email address to send the Amazon gift (this should be PMed not posted, please).

If there are 20 or less entries, only those poems judged to be authentic attempts at creativity or humour will be eligible. For example:

'Twas a dark and stormy night, POE sucks

Is not really what I am after :)

The competition will run from Friday, 6pm GMT+12 (NZ) until Sunday 6pm GMT+12 (NZ). I'll give the books away next week as I recieve email addresses.

Anyways, have some fun, and if you get time this weekend go and buy a Terry Pratchett book.

Sadly, I am not very creative. Happily, it doesn't matter as I already own a copy. Good luck to those entering the contest, the book is worth the effort.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I_NO is green, where is my book?

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
Four beers

On the night of days past we ride to victory,

pursuing what is an endless stream of thoughts cluttered with laugh, joy and sadness alike

Having struck the cord of life, it's own reward entailed in treads alike no other, we saddle up and kindle the fire dormant in our souls.

'Twas a dark and stormy night that followed.

Peace,

-Boem-

I went fishing. T'was a dark stormy night. The end.
Minimalist, I like it.

Thanks for not describing your rod in too much detail, that would have been... uncomfortable.

'Twas a dark and stormy night,
The goats were out of sight,
But with roar and a mumble
the player did grumble
to their hooves he fell to goat's might

The moon gazed over the Strand
the man extended his hand
With a gurgle he woke
and sliced the moon's throat
and soaked the windswept sand

With a roar and a scream it awoke
Promises of power it spoke
Corrupting the land
You cut off it's hand
And darkness began to revoke

I WANTED TO DO MORE BUT I COULDN'T i'll think about it.
