question about eldritch battery

lets say i have 1000 es, 1000 mana, +100% total mana, and +100% total es, with eldritch battery.
1st: possibility: the es is doubled, then added to mana pool, then the mana pool doubled, resulting in 4k mana 2nd: possibility: the es is doubled and added to the mana AFTER the mana nodes added the mana, resulting in only 3k mana 3rd: possibility: ??? tldr: are max es and max mana nodes additive or multiplicative? thanks for any help! | |

Except that scenario 1 does not accurately describe what happens (and you flunked the math anyways :P ). As Mark's post describes, ES is multiplied by both Increased ES and Increased Mana. Because they're both Increased-type multipliers, they are additive. Multipliers to your Mana value are entirely separate from your "ES Mana".
You have 1000 Mana, which benefits from 100% Increased Maximum Mana: 1000 * (1 + (100/100)) = 2000 Mana You have 1000 ES, which benefits from 100% Inc Max ES and 100% Inc Max Mana: 1000 * (1 + (100/100) + (100/100)) = 3000 Mana (Converted from ES) 5k Mana total. Your scenario 1 would end up with 6k Mana: 1000 * 2 = 2000 ES 1000 + 2000 = 3000 Mana 3000 * 2 = 6k Mana Last edited by Vipermagi on Feb 26, 2015, 7:39:15 PM

i was just trying to keep it simple, i took the formula he wrote and exchanged the numbers. i wont waste my time thinking about the math they used, they invented the game :D | |
