Effect error on load causing CTD

Hi, i have been happily playing PoE with my better half, and loving it.
Went to load up today for a bit of a gaming sesh and hers works fine, but mine refuses to load up bringing up the following errors.
I play the game on steam if that helps, i have run the verify tool on steam and the pack check thing, both said everything is fine.

"Shut Down" the computer and start it up again, and if that doesn't fix it, try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable.

i got this error myself yesterday and i found a solution for it.
if u got EVGA Precision X 16 software on your pc, turn of the OSD.
its used for the ingame and the tray icon for displaying the frames, temp and so on.
this OSD thing can break POE.
