Not To Scare The Living Shit Out Of You All But Ummmmm...

The filament he is speaking of is the largest filament ever recorded on our Sun. He talks about other spooky recent stuff. If this thing lets loose, in our general direction, it could be the "Killshot". (google killshot for more info)

Is the shit hitting the fan near?
Still not worried? Watch this...

If this thing gives all at once, I wonder how much shake, rattle and roll there will be here.
More earthquakes today, too

Watch the GOES 8 data (the weather on the Sun) right here:

The Proton flux is the largest concern. This is what could potentially wipe out our satellites and power grids. Positively charged particles are NO GOOD, in bulk, when it comes to an electricity dependent planet, like ours.
This one has a graph similar to the one I posted in my latter post, here. Enjoy the show.

Here's a nice song to go with all this. Yes, Peter Frampton was here before Sound Garden (I'm old school like that)...

I'm going to be adding more to the OP over the next few hours. This is pretty serious shit, especially if it lets loose toward Earth. Valentines day will have a decent line-up of 4 planets in conjunction with this thing. That's 4 magnets pulling on a magnetic filament of plasma.

I've watched GOES 8 Satellite data live, as it happened, of CMEs which probably caused some folks, at NASA, to call their Mommies. I saved a bunch of data from one, where the proton flux went straight up and off the charts. This happened around the turn of the millennium. I'll have to find that data and post some of it. The things, that have previously happened, which warranted Mommy calls, are nothing compared to the potential of this thing.

E: more commas for you and the following images, which I have been saving on my photobucket for many years.

Stuff like this is (MUCH) more likely to happen than a zombie apocalypse. Some of it it dun pay to worry about, since there's nothing to be done about it. Others, well, global socio-economic breakdown is still more likely, but prep to the degree you feel prudent.

Here's another one for ya:

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn12896-magma-surge-causes-record-rise-at-yellowstone.html

That article is pretty calm about it (I've seen others MUCH less so), but this sort of thing has a geological history of going BOOM! in a very big way, and, if this particular one does, you can write off pretty much everyone in North America, and the resulting atmospheric disturbances won't make things very nice for folks elsewhere onna globe, either.

Again, not much worth worrying about.

Still, fun to remember that, in the cosmic scheme of things, we are still just bugs on the windshield. =^[.]^=

It is estimated that 99%+ (yes, plus) of every species that ever lived are now extinct. That makes for one messy windshield.

You won't get no glory on that side of the hole.

As far as i am concerned worms are domesticating us.

Even if it might turn out to be a bad thing for humanity I'm not scared by these, I'm more like "amazed".

I could watch those explosions for an hour and still not get bored.
