uniques clearly vendor food
I'm getting a bit upset at the fact that I've identified dozens of new uniques, only to immediately determine that they are garbage. ex: a rare wand drops, a unique wand drops. I can tell that the mods on the unique are garbage faster than I can tell if they are on the rare. I often cant even imagine if or how one could bend over backwards to somehow make a unique be useful. I guess I'm saying, buff most of the garbage uniques a bit so they might be possible to use for a short period of time before one finds a magic item with a higher primary mod. seriously. that spell echo wand? how could that wand possibly be more valuable at any point in the game, low level or mid or high level, and in conjunction with any other gear in the game whatsoever... than a magic wand with a decent mod roll? now, fair is fair.... these garbage uniques are often worth close to an alt to the vendor, and occasionally are worth a quarter or half an alch... this is well worth picking it up and vendoring it. but can any of them actually be used? honestly im being exasperated and a bit hyperbolic... but please TL:DR uniques mostly have either really low mods or their drawbacks are a deal breaker. please buff weak as hell uniques, and reduce drawbacks on dealbroken uniques. for real tho, like... right now unique items = alch and alt shards. thats it. Reverberation wand is for leveling and PvP. Spell dmg is next to useless early on, and echo is a lvl 31 gem. Thus allowing you to double your DPS.
You picked the wrong unique to complain about.
Hipster my point stands,
most uniques are worth alt shards. This is a Haiku. |

" reverberation rod can be used at lvl 24 before you can equip spell echo gem. very nice wand. in diablo 2 it was the same. isenhart's parry from every boss. in poe it's hrimnor gloves, redbeak and others but those can actully be very useful for leveling and certain builds. i don't agree with thread creator.
I think the OP has unfortunately chosen a bad item to use in his example (case in point, I've been using that want for my Crit Arc Three Dragons build and only just swapped it out at level 71 for a different wand) but I think this does serve to illustrate that a lot of uniques are useful only in particular niche builds.
I've found that a lot of low level uniques are under-appreciated and can be very useful in a particular pairing, a specific build, or just as a leveling tool to a particular point. I do agree though that there are a bunch of uniques that are rarely used by anyone for any purpose (Veil of the Night anyone?). It's possible some of these could use a buff, add an extra attribute maybe, or the other option could be to discontinue them. I'd personally prefer a slightly smaller pool of uniques, but having the ones that do drop actually being usable would be more attractive. Just a suggestion :) |

I agree, most of uniques goes to vendor, dont even know for many of them why it even in the game, total garbage
If I dont reply to you - I dont give a flying duck about your opinion
If you dont reply to me - I dont care either because I dont come back to see who replied to me |

well, ok many comments that the spell echo wand can actually do
more damage than I presumed it would. I cant list all of the garbage uniques. I have forgotten more uniques than I remember. this is the point. at least 75% of them got vendored without even remembering the name or what it does... "is garb, does nothing" I do get a bit excited when I id it, and theres an achievement notification... but then I vendor the garbage item. |

A more accurate statement would be
"unique's are clearly vendor food for me" Which i could agree with np. Not even an issue if this is the case (which i suppose it is) since other's find enjoyment and utility in them. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" Lol, ignore this guy. He clearly doesn't know what he is talking about calling SD useless. |
