Physical damage on staff with Summon Raging Spirit skill

Hello,
does Summon Raging Spirit benefit from high physical damage on the staff you are using? Or the damage of the spirits has nothing to do with that? | |
" Nothing to do with your weapon damage. Raging Spirits have their own base damage (which is pure physical, but they also innately have 50% physical->fire conversion). |
