Defense, based on Endurance charges?

Will a build with defense, based on 10 endurance charges, be viable?

10 endurance charges should be feasible - 2 kaom's signs, 7 charges from tree/bandits, and 1 more from some item. Getting the node from the tree that gives you 4% more physical reduction, should be fine as well.

My idea is to never call immortal call, but not sure if that is going to be possible.
44% phys damage reduction + armor maybe enough for no damage spikes. Maybe the node for 20% reduction of crits is also a good idea.
This gives the build also 44% to all ele resistances, and maybe the build can take advantage of that, provided that the player can keep the endurance charges always on.

What do you think? Stupid idea? Or something nice for a budget melee build?
Maybe this would synergize with a RF build because 10 charges would net you 2% additional life regen. In that case you could also use discharge to kill the boss of the map or other difficult mobs.
