0xc00007b Error

Hi,

I'm new to PoE. I really want to get into it and tried downloading & installing it for the first time around Christmas, but when I install (done this ~20 times) the game and open the .exe / shortcut, I get the message "0xc00007b, the application was unable to start correctly, press OK to close". I've been googling this for days and contacted the support via email but as they haven't answered in a couple of days I'm reaching out to the community. Maybe you can help, as I really want to get into PoE.

What I've done so far / didn't help:

- installed also through Steam, when I try to open the game I get nothing at all. It just won't start. When I start the .exe in the Steam folder, I get the 0xc00007b.

- watched a ton of videos, most of em said it was because I'm missing a .dll, usually a different one than the other. So downloaded a ton of .dll:s and copied them to System32 / SYSWOW64, didn't work.

- downloaded something called DependencyWalker of which I understand nothing. Here's a screenshot of it's analyze of my PoE.exe: http://i.imgur.com/ZywPVI6.png The end of the red text that seems like gibberish is Finnish and says "The defined file can't be found."
- I actually went ahead and asked my friend who has the same exact computer with me and has PoE working like a charm with no problems from the beginning run his exe through DependencyWalker. The main difference I notice is that all his .dll:s on the list have the "CPU" part as x86 and black, while mine has x64 and red (probably red = problem). My logical brain would suggest this means my Windows 64-bit doesn't realize it needs to run the game as 32-bit (=x86 if I googled this right) but tries to run it through 64-bit .dll:s or something. I'm not a computer person by any means so this is just a wild guess through logical thinking and light googling about the subject, so don't laugh. But yeah, if you know how I can fix this (get the x64:s to x86:s), I'm guessing that would help. If you need, I can copy/paste the full list of the .dll:s DW gives since the screenshot doesn't show everything, but all of them but the .exe itself are x64.

- tried everything in this list: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1931360/0xc00007b-error-fix.html Oh well, not everything yet, I'm still going through number 9 (chkdsk for both C and D, this will take a while, will edit after done if it helped but highly doubt it since I doesn't feel like there's anything wrong with my drives). So please, before suggesting, check the list as I'm tired of trying for same solutions over and over.

I'll update if more things come to my mind. Important computer specs:

- Win 7 64-bit SP1
- Good enough specs to run the game
- Had a recently updated NVIDIA driver (GeForce GT 540M), but since someone suggested the problem might be it (and the update), disabled it and now only running with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000. Btw, please tell me if you feel certain that there's no need for this and I can go back to NVIDIA.
- DirectX 11

Sorry for long post, just doesn't seem like a easily and generally solvable problem, wanted to give enough info. I'll answer questions to the best of my ability if you have any. While asking / helping me, please remember that you're working with a semi-noobie when it comes to computer stuff. Thank you so much for helping me in advance! Let's get my PoE experience on the way!!

Install OpenAL.
Happy gaming in New Year!
Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.
If https://code.google.com/p/rallyraid/downloads/detail?name=oalinst.zip&can=2&q= was what you meant, it didn't fix the problem. I just clicked a couple of "next"s and the program said it has been installed, but the error remains. Thanks for the suggestion tho!
Did you installed DirectX 9.0c from the redist folder located in PoE folder? Do you run the game with admin rights?

Do you have the next .dll's in PoE folder: vorbisfile.dll, twitchsdk_32_release.dll, OpenAL32.dll?

Yes, I installed the DirectX from the PoE folder. I do run with admin rights.

I didn't have the .dll:s in the PoE folder. I downloaded them and now I do. Didn't help though. Still, thank you so much for helping.
They are missing in standalone client folder or in steam folder? I use standalone client and all this .dlls and even more are present in PoE folder.
There must be more .dlls in PoE folder then this 3. I mentioned them because errors you posted was adressing them. They are all from OpenAL software. Maybe your OpenAL didn't install correctly.

They are missing from the standalone client folder, which I'm trying to get to work. I only downloaded Steam and the game to Steam to try if that would work, what I would really want is to get the standalone program working.

I believe my PoE folder is missing alot. I don't even have the PackCheck.exe. Here's a screenshot of my PoE folder: http://i.imgur.com/UdapvTs.png and here's a screenshot from the "Redist" folder in the PoE folder (shown in first pic) http://i.imgur.com/2xmc2wi.png. That is everything my PoE folder contains. In both you can see the three .dll:s you mentioned earlier since I put them there today (I wasn't sure that which folder I should put em so I tried both :D)

And yes, OpenAL is installed. I won't screenshot it since it's such a small thing but I have "OpenAL" (with the little picture of red AL letters) in my Control Panel -> Delete installed program -list. I've also installed it many times, so I doubt re-installing it anymore would do the trick. The installation process is extremely quick, I press the installer / setup.exe-thingy I downloaded, press OK below the License text, and it takes maybe like 0,5 seconds for the program to say "Installation complete".
Here's how it should look http://i.imgur.com/WTrEsPy.png?1

It seams your game is missing, your content.ggpk is 0 kb size.
Try to use VPN to download the game.

Got the VPN, downloaded a new installer through it, didn't help. The folder remains to not have everything you do, it still has the same as before.

I did however notice that my Steam PoE has many different files, probably all the usual ones that I should...? Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/eCCSEdt.png It still gives me the error though (well, when opening through Steam it does nothing at all, when opening the .exe from the folder it gives the error visible in the picture, translated into english "The application couldn't be started properly (0xc00007b). Close the application by pressing OK".)

So maybe the problem isn't the missing files...? Or maybe they are. There needs to be something wrong that makes my Windows open PoE with 64-bit dll:s when it should open with 32-bit ones.
Could downloading the game as a whole from another source (let's say, copypaste all the files from a friends computer) help?
