Aite I'm ma make a melee char

Melee actually seems really good this league so far, I acually don't think I've ever felt this strong while leveling from scratch before. Damage has been a complete no-problem for me even when going 1H & board. The addition of the counterstrike skills makes the game flow better as melee even without great gear. You definitely don't need them to make a good character, but if you have the opportunity to use them, don't hesitate.

Vengeance seems particularly good for slow hard hitting hitting 2H users. I haven't actually tried to make a 2H character yet this league though so I can't tell exactly what it'd be like.

I use Vengeance - Endurance charge on stun - Stun - Leap slam in a 4L.

And CWDT - Warlord Mark - Enduring Cryt - Increased Aoe in a different 4L.
Perma endurance charges in all situations.

I wanted to do this, but two skills dont work together well (one needs block and the other needs you to get hit) and riposte is just plain trash.

they are nice additions to melee though, riposte just needs to be reworked to only work with dual wield and be useful (aoe or no icd and keep it single target...but have the icd in pvp).

You can go melee witout too many troubles. I'm doing an evasion crit reaver without any block nodes (acro/phase acro) in Bloodlines and I'm doing very fine with just decent gear for a new league (most expensive piece was the Carcass I did buy for one exalted. Others are few c's items or self found/crafted like my dagger). And it's very fun.

is good practically saved me when i have frozen screen opening a box due a bad pc
