Herald of Thunder and Totems

Yes, I, too, thought, the Totems only get the added Dmg, because nearly
everyone around the Internet says so.

But I definitely had lightning bolts strike the Mobs around my Character
(Not the Totems)

Didnt notice the Ice Explosion, though, the Bolts are easier to see.

Exactly. There are two different yous. You the character and you the totem. The totem gets the herald so, it (you) triggers the herald when it (you) kills something.

So in other words, on the Heralds "you" is being used in an indirect sense to refer to the actor performing the action (in this case a totem). "You" is NOT being used in a direct sense to refer explicitly to your character.

The problem is that the "you" on Ancestral Bond is the other kind of "you." It refers explicitly to your character, there is no indirection when a different actor performs the action. The Heralds use the same word "you" but do not mean the same "you." In a game with such precise wording, that's inconsistent.
