Also these people have nothing to back up their "drop rates are not nerfed" claim except 1) there was no such thing in the patch notes and 2) RNG (something they rarely even seem to understand, it's just a magic word that solves all such issues).

If you claim something has changed, you have to prove it :)

Most stupid comment.

SEVERAL people "proved" it by comparing their map pool progression from the last leagues to this ones and everyone "complaining" said that it takes much longer to ramp up and its very hard to get past 72s now. There is enough "proving" being done here FYI.

Your turn to counterprove it by getting fresh up from a few 66 maps, not hard to do, just document it.

That has a reddit discussion here:

http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/2q6pcf/availability_of_maps_for_sale_in_shops_first_10/

Basically TL;DR, maps avialable for purchase in the SC league are higher then rampage, while maps in the HC league are much lower then beyond, this is what we should\can expect with less monsters in maps (therefore less chances to drop maps in the HC league) and the holiday season most likely means less people playing.

But people please do continue to complain about map drops, when all evidence points to map drop rates being unaffected by any changes this patch.

What do do conclude form it though?

On the first thought, you see MORE maps being sold now then last league. That doesn't implicate though that maps drop more often now then they did last league.

All those graph say is that people tend to SELL MORE maps.

And to be honest, I can understand that. Last league it was easy to sustain maps above 75 and Maps were so common that even 78s were very cheap to the extend that running themselves was mostly more efficient then selling, since nearly EVERYONE could sutstain their mappools themselfes.

The demand for maps was lower, so were the prices therefore.

Lokk at the new leagues. Maps above 72 are scarce and sought after and you get double the price or more now for selling maps now.

All this graph tells me is that people are more willing to sell their maps for MORE profit than running them themselves.

Keep in mind, I'm not pointing to that as if it were some iron-clad proof. Other factors should be considered like population size, monster density, and the position of Jupiter in relation to Alpha Centauri.

But at least it's something other than feelz before realz.

Heh, so the less maps people have, the more they are inclined to sell their maps? Are you sure this makes any sense at all? Have you thought really hard about it? :)
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Well he is trying to use the logic that if people can make a bigger buck off of selling them instead of running because the "drop rates are lower" that means the price is higher, therefore it might be more profitable to sell over running. This of course assumes that the player has no ambition of reaching past level 85 or so.

Ultimately this all is just assumptions at this point, while I am at assuming things I think that the Grandmaster Map will be added shortly after the new year.

Im talking about 3 weeks in in Rampage:

Last league: maps 74 -76 sold for 1-2 chaos --> this league 5-7 chaos.

Last league: maps 77 -78 sold for 7-10 chaos --> this league 1 - 1.5 Exalts.

I would defenetly sell my maps this league at this droprate and returns. If I ever got a 77/78 now you sure as hell can be sure id throw it on the market emediatly for 1ex. Not so much last league, were my pool was steadily at 75/76 with spikes to 77/78. I wanted to get to 90 last league so I ran my maps. Hit league is differnet though. The return of even 78s on exp is so abysmal that leveling to 90 and beyond is more a question of dedication then anything else. You dont run under 76 above 92 anyways if possible. Now you have to grind up until 90 even wheras last league you could easily do a 85+ char.

So if I have to decide from 1 EX selling or grinding 3 more low map for the same exp my answer is clear in that case. Since im grinding all the way, I'd rather take the money to try out new builds instead of grinding beyond 85.
