GGG going to nerf kinetic + pierce?

wait till someone puts CoE/Piscator's with it ...then the scope of things will be found.

ele scaling etc will be ridiculous.

does it function like barrage? i.e. all hits crit per skill use?

I'm a little surprised they didn't make it function the same way as any other projectile that then becomes an AoE -- piercing prevents impact, no 'proc' of explosion.


There's a bunch of projectiles that have impacts with pierce/fork/chain: Poison Arrow, Lightning Arrow, Vaal Burning Arrow, Ice Shot. All release their AoE effects at every pierce.




That's why I kinda doubt pierce+kinetic is really a problem, aside from potentially being a little overtuned in base damage; lightning arrows and vaal burning arrows behave in much the same way when linked up to pierce and lmp, they annihilate mobs extremely well by getting multiple overlapping AoE blasts off of each impact... but they're pretty weak on strong single targets (well, Vaal burning arrow actually is decent with LMP on single enemies, as its explosion detonates at the click location if the arrow doesn't get stopped sooner, so you can still get multiple explosions to hit a single target).
