Latency spikes / disconnections.

Hi Support Team.

I'm having some latency spikes/disconnections, and I wanted to know if it is possible to check if there is any solution (if applicable).

I use the America gateway, but I've tried the others gateways and same problem.

Down below you will find both pingplotter and Winmtr traces.

I'm having terrible problems every since the recent upgrade 1.3.0 (thought that might be coincidence).

I now desync all the time, and get disconnected once or twice per map. I have died several times from thinking I was safe only to resynch back into the middle of a mob. For safety I've started doing alt-F4 every time connection problems start.

I've put POE to the background whist all the monsters are wandering around aimlessly and undamageable (but it hasn't actually disconnected yet) and everything else seems fine i.e. I can browse web pages etc. It only seems to be POE which is struggling.

I'm using the European server.

@Petusillos
While that is a sizeable amount of packet loss occuring on your trace, unfortunately we cannot tell where this is occuring as your modem/router appears to be filtering the PingPlotter. Can you please try WinMTR instead? I would also check your Firewall/Antivirus is not interfering with Path of Exile's connectivity, and using a wired connection to your modem/router.

@SapientFridge
Those packets lost and ping spikes at the start of the trace are worrying. Are you using a wireless connection to your modem/router? I would try restarting it then using a wired connection, and then checking if you are experiencing the same issues. If you are experiencing the same issues please create a new thread on this subforum.

I forgot to say that I'm not using any kind of wireless connections.

Hi Support Team.

I'm having the same problem (latency spikes / disconnections). This started some months ago. Latencies occur during the game and disconnections usually happen when I'm changing scenarios. I have tried US and EU servers without success. Following my prints of the MTR and the PingPlotter.

I used wired connection to the prints.
Hello everyone , i am having the same problems. Lag spikes and Disconnections constantly, its almost impossible to play. I've been playing poe for a while and havent had this kinds of problem. Im pretty sure it started after the 1.3.x updates. I do not use Wireless and there hasn't been any changes in my connection or PC. Any ideas?
@Petusillos

Do you experience this issue during certain times of the day? Do you have any automatic updating programs on your system? Do you share your connection with any other users (such as flatmates or family)? There's definitely something going on with your connection and the timing issue could be any one of the above, however it's hard to tell which as your modem isn't playing nice with the trace.

@danlartin & @mandodiao

Can you please create a new thread with your attempted fixes and tracereports? Keeping everyone's issue in separate threads allows us to better diagnose issues such as this.

@danlartin

As a note, be sure to specify the answers to the same questions directed to Petusillos. It is possible that your ISP or modem are filtering your connection.
