Is rarity broken?

Fine theory cept I've opened hundreds of rarity boxes and never gotten anything decent, maybe about 3 rares in the whole time, and never never a unique.

Meanwhile Exiles spawning from even regular strong boxes drop 100X better.

Something is not quite right...

Ever run Vaults of Atziri? That can have double the rarity bonus of strong boxes, and plenty of the containers there still drop jack all. Containers <<<< monsters.

Rogue Exiles are guaranteed to drop an item in every slot, usually blue or better, and scale well with rarity as a result.

Rarity doesn't suck, MFing give you a metric shit ton of more items and wealth over time.

If I have 600% total MF (IIQ + IIR and other factors), every I kill extremely quickly adds up each benefit of 600% mf.

People legit surpised that ONCE instance of 1400% mf gives them very little but don't understand it adds up over a large amount of monsters over time. (1000 times in an hour let's say)

It's like Vaults of Atziri per say, you can technically have near Vaults of Atziri benefits in MF and still farm monsters normally.

MF doesn't suck, it's just the overpowering thing that affects drop rate the most in this game.

If you had quantity + rarity, you could have gotten 7 white items like I did earlier tonight.

I'd guess the percentage boosts multiplies whatever RNG percentage the game was going to deliver when the box opened. So, if the time, seed, whatever factors would have given you a 12% rarity boost, and you have a 1200% rarity box, you'd end up with 28.8% rarity boost on the drops, not 1212%.

Just my guess based on the inconsistency of the boxes.
