Keeper of the Trove, no drops from shelled crustaceans

Killed a Keeper of the Trove pack of shelled crabs. They dropped a few white items, but not the signature rare items from either form. Reference number 1434667688. This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

I just experienced the same issue. Killed a Keeper of the Trove pack of shield crabs in The Coves, and after dying in their first form no rares were dropped. The second form did not drop rares either. I was a little disappointed (was expecting rares from both forms).
Bring back race seasons.

The first form can't drop loot unless it dies in a way that prevents the second form spawning (shatter, explosion). There's currently a bug that prevents the second form counting as part of the pack (and thus having the bloodline), so while it will drop loot, it won't currently be able to drop the rare. This bug has a local fix that's being tested, and will hopefully be ready to deploy soon. In the meantime, shattering or exploding with Infernal Blow similar on the shield crab will prevent the sandspitter spawning and should make the first form drop loot.
